This past weekend was absolutely gorgeous - reaching temps in the 80's for the entire duration. Love it. When you can enjoy a relaxing lunch outside in a tank top - I'm a fan.
Friday was Brian's birthday so naturally we started celebrating Thursday evening into Sunday. Mostly revolving around food and drinks - his favorite.
Another friend's birthday is within a few days so we rounded up a group of 25 and headed to CitiField for an afternoon Mets game. Now we all know I'm not a huge sports fan but I am more inclined to enjoy a live game vs. watching it on TV. Plus there's lots of friends, beer, and David Wright's booty. Go Mets!
This was my first time at the new stadium and I have to admit it's pretty nice. Beers are the normal over priced rate. There is a stand that carries a large array of beers. So for those that want more then Bud Light could opt for a Goose Island. I didn't really try any of the food - a few fries and a bite of hot sausage. All typical baseball quality.
Naturally our seats were in a covered section on a beautiful day. So after 1-2 innings - we started wandering around. I was trying to get my tan on.
Eventually we ended up on the Pepsi Porch. Great spot to hang out and check out the place. The Mets won, we all had a fantastic time, and my face is a little bit crispy. What else could a girl want?
